Services

Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy

We assess and treat orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMDs), in children and adults ages 4+ including:​

​

  • Mouth-open lips-apart posture (mouth breathing and lip incompetence)

  • Forward interdental rest posture of the tongue 

  • Forward rest position of the tongue against the upper front teeth

  • Thrusting of the tongue in speaking and swallowing

  • Orofacial muscle imbalance and weakness

​​

Our therapy promotes proper oral resting posture, nasal breathing, and optimal oral muscle function, often in collaboration with orthodontists, ENTs, dentists, and other providers.

Oral Tie Post-Op Therapy

We provide:

​

  • Functional screenings of tethered oral tissues (TOTs)

  • Post-operative rehabilitation to restore optimal mobility and function

​

We work closely with release providers to ensure the best outcomes.

*Please note that Speech-Language Pathologists and Orofacial Myologists do not diagnose oral ties, as this falls outside of our scope of practice

Breathing & Swallowing Therapy

We address dysfunctional breathing and swallowing patterns through:

​

  • Oral and nasal breathing retraining

  • Correct swallow pattern development

  • Habit elimination and neuromuscular facilitation

Oral Habit Elimination Therapy

We assess and treat oral habits including:

​

  • Thumb, lip, tongue, and finger sucking

  • Prolonged pacifier use

  • Nail biting

Speech & Articulation Therapy

We support clients with:

​

  • Articulation disorders

  • Residual speech errors related to tongue posture

  • Speech concerns associated with myofunctional disorders

​​

Our integrative approach addresses both structure and function for lasting results.

Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs)

We address a wide range of areas, including:

​

  • Speech sound production and articulation

  • Phonological processing

  • Expressive and receptive language

  • Narrative language

  • Social communication and pragmatics

  • Fluency

  • Voice and resonance

  • Orofacial myofunctional concerns affecting speech and swallowing
